Isle of Wight Green Tourism Award:

We’ve developed a non-accredited scheme for businesses to use as a stepping stone to recognise the steps that they are taking on their sustainability journey.

In this section you can find out about the Isle of Wight Green Tourism Awards and the benefits of being included in the VIOW run scheme.

Our sustainability journey:

We want to make sure that Visit Isle of Wight and its operational activities are developing sustainable practices. Here you can find our sustainability statement, what we’ve done over the past couple of years on our journey and what actions we’re still yet to achieve.

Green Resources:

Previously we were awarded funding from the Department for Transport’s Access Fund which enabled us to work with a range of partners to make it easier for our visitors to enjoy a car-free holiday.

Here you can find a range of green resources such as home to destination planners and town itineraries to display on your website or send to your visitors.

Sustainable travel on the Island:

Travelling to and around the Isle of Wight sustainably couldn’t be easier, and here at Visit Isle of Wight, we’re keen to encourage our visitors to get on their bikes, enjoy a walk in our beautiful countryside and take advantage of our excellent public transport services.
