The Isle of Wight has once again been shortlisted as a finalist in the Group Leisure and Travel Awards, which could see the much-loved holiday destination crowned the best in the UK for groups.

The Isle of Wight has been nominated by readers of Group Leisure and Travel magazine, regularly featuring in the top ten places to visit in the UK. The Island has been a winner of the prestigious award in 2023 and 2024.

Readers can now vote for their favourite destination, which sees the island face competition from other top UK locations, including Edinburgh, Wiltshire and Belfast.

Visit Isle of Wight is asking voters to get behind the Island’s nomination. Amy Summers, Head of Marketing and Sustainability at Visit Isle of Wight said:

“It’s great to see our island recognised as a top destination for group tourism. This is the 4th year in a row we have been nominated, which highlights how our businesses provide a warm welcome, great product and class leading experience for all guests throughout the year.

“We would love for all group travel, coach and tour organisers and operators to vote for our island and show your appreciation for our amazing businesses.”

The highly respected group travel awards also gives a nod to other businesses with Isle of Wight connections, including Daish’s Holidays in the Best Coach or Tour Operator, Wightlink in the Best Ferry or Fixed Link Operator, and the Best Accommodation for Groups category is a two-way battle between Daish’s Holidays with a hotel at Shanklin and Warner Hotels, with centres at Yarmouth and Bembridge.

Voting in the awards closes 19th April and the winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on 12th June.
