Building Event Audiences on the Isle of Wight
This section of our Industry website provides information on what VIOW is doing to encourage new event investors to come to the Isle of Wight and host their festival or event with us. Our marketing strategy calls for an increase of 300,000 visitors a year by the end of 2017 and we believe that at least 60,000 of those visitors will be generated as a result of putting on new events, especially during the shoulder months. VIOW has also worked with a number of event and festival organisers to help fund or manage campaigns to attract more visitors across from the mainland or to try and extend the length of stay of people coming to a specific festival, or indeed to encourage them to make a repeat visit later in the year.
