Visit Isle of Wight (VIOW) is making a final call for businesses across the Island to complete its Wight BID consultation survey, with the deadline fast approaching on Monday 15 June at midday.
The survey is a critical opportunity for levy-paying and eligible businesses to influence the future direction of the Wight Business Improvement District (BID) as plans for BID 3 are developed ahead of the renewal ballot in October 2026.
With less than two weeks remaining, Visit Isle of Wight is encouraging every eligible business to take part and ensure their voice is heard. The feedback received will directly shape priorities, investment decisions, projects and services delivered through BID 3 over the next five years.
Since its launch in 2016 and successful renewal in 2021, the Wight BID has provided a collective voice for Island businesses, generating more than £500,000 annually through the BID levy and attracting a further £300,000 in strategic partnership investment from Red Funnel, Wightlink and Southern Vectis, alongside additional commercial income.
As Visit Isle of Wight enters a new chapter with a newly elected Board of Directors and a new CEO, the organisation says business feedback has never been more important.
Dominic Wray, CEO of Visit Isle of Wight, said:
“The deadline is now rapidly approaching, and we need as many businesses as possible to have their say. BID 3 must reflect the priorities, challenges and ambitions of the businesses it represents, and that can only happen if businesses take part in the survey.
“Whether you believe the BID should do more of something, less of something, or focus on entirely new initiatives, this is your opportunity to influence the next five years. Every response matters and will help shape the future of the Island’s visitor economy.”
The survey asks businesses to share their views on the current BID, identify future priorities and highlight opportunities for investment and support.
Visit Isle of Wight is urging businesses not to leave it until the last minute.
The survey closes at midday on Monday 15 June 2026.
