Isle of Wight hotels and B&B’s feature in TripAdvisor top rankings for 2020
The Isle of Wight’s hotels and B&B’s are set firmly among the best in the country – and Europe – according to a recent poll by leading online holiday company TripAdvisor, announced this week.
Shanklin leads the way, with all of the businesses featured in the Traveller’s Choice Best of the Best Awards for the UK and Channel Islands, based in the picturesque seaside town.
The Rowborough Hotel features as 2nd best value hotel in the UK, 7th best small hotel in the UK and ranks an incredible 11th as best value hotel in Europe.
Michelle Tarrant and Caroline Reze are the owners of the Rowborough Hotel. Michelle is overjoyed:
‘We are delighted to receive the Best of the Best Travellers Choice awards having already been fortunate to win 3 in 2017, 2018 and 2019.’
Haven Hall Hotel features in the Traveller’s Choice Best of the Best Awards, hitting the number 7 spot for Luxury Hotel and 11th for Small Hotel.
Owner David Barrett says:
‘Haven Hall is very pleased to be featured in Trip Advisor Traveller’s Choice Best of the Best Awards as the Best Luxury Hotel. After a four year, multi-million pound renovation, it is very gratifying for so many of our guests to have written such positive reviews on Trip Advisor.
‘We’re pleased to add it to our growing list of awards, as Conde Nast Johansen short listed Haven Hall as the “Best Small & Exclusive Hotel in the UK” in 2019.’
Warren and Peter are the owners at Grange Bank House. This is just their fourth year in business at Shanklin and now rank in the top 20 best value hotels in the UK and Channel Islands. Warren Pynegar says:
‘Our guests are guaranteed a friendly and very comfortable stay, in a wonderful location with a home from home touch showing real Island hospitality.’
Hayley and Nick Clark took over The Chestnuts in Shanklin four years ago and are now ranked 12th in the Best Value Hotels list in the UK and Channel Islands.
‘We’d like to thank our guests who choose to come here and spend their precious holiday time with us in beautiful Shanklin.’
Sally Beston is from Shanklin Hoteliers and Accommodation Association:
‘As chairman of the Shanklin Hotel and Accommodation Association, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our members that have achieved these significant Tripadvisor awards. This is a reflection of the high standard that our members offer while dealing with this unprecedented and difficult year.’
Will Myles, MD at Visit Isle of Wight says:
‘These awards reflect the incredible service that businesses across the Isle of Wight provide and we’re proud to work alongside them to continue promoting this amazing Island.’
