Beautiful South Awards 2019/20
Entries are now open for the Beautiful South Awards 2019/20
Last year, the Isle of Wight celebrated wins and this year there is no reason why even more fantastic Island businesses can’t also be winners!
This year’s awards sees a brand new website, new shorter entry forms and a new online entry process. There are also two new categories: Wedding Business of the Year and New Tourism Business of the Year.
There is also an incentive for early entry, intended to encourage submissions between Half Term and Easter. Our aim is to spread judging over a far longer period than in the past enabling us to plan judging visits when they are best both for entrants and our judges.
The closing date is 6 May but if you enter by 29 March, and your entry form scores a minimum of 75%, the awards body will guarantee you a judging visit (if entering in a category where visits are carried out) as past entrants have always said that they prefer to be judged on ‘the real thing’ rather than how well entry forms are completed.
Entry is free for members of Tourism South East; there is an admin fee for non members – once the entry form has been received, you will be invoiced for £70 plus VAT, (for B and B’s it is £45 plus VAT). This includes two entries plus Access and Sustainability. Payment must be received before your entry is accepted. Entry is free to everyone for the Customer Service Superstar award.
“Achieving excellence isn’t easy – it takes vision, years of commitment and a lot of hard work from talented people. Those behind the businesses that make the finals of the Beautiful South Awards have got these qualities in abundance. They can be proud of what they have achieved and the example they are setting for others. The Awards are a celebration of their achievements and a showcase for the sheer quality of what they offer. I would encourage any tourism business that has achieved great things in the last 18 months to enter and get the recognition they and their teams deserve.Nigel Smith, Chief Exec, Tourism South East
