Survive summer on an action-packed break with Parkdean Resorts

PARENTS seeking ways to entertain children this school holidays can be sure to beat the boredom during an adventure-filled summer break with Parkdean Resorts.

The UK is set for a long spell of sunny, dry weather and high temperatures for the next three months according to recent forecasts*, meaning there’s never been a better time to holiday close to home.

Families planning to make the most of the sunnier climes can choose from over 70 Parkdean Resorts’ holiday parks; the perfect playgrounds for mini adventurers.

To take the pressure off, Parkdean Resorts has lined up a season of fun activities across its parks for youngsters and families alike, encouraging more time to be spent out in the open.

John Waterworth, chief executive at Parkdean Resorts said:

“The school holidays are a chance for families to bond, as well as experience new things together for the first time. However, we know entertaining children for six weeks isn’t an easy task, which is why we have a huge selection of activities which both kids and ‘big kids’ will love getting stuck into this summer.

“At our parks, parents are able unleash their mini adventurers to take on anything from archery to water walkers, and can also enjoy participating as a family. We’ve introduced even more activities this season so that our holidaymakers are spoilt for choice when it comes to making the most of time off school – alleviating any potential boredom and most importantly, creating amazing memories.”

Be entertained

Fun-packed holidays are the ones which children remember, and fun comes in abundance at the parks’ kids’ clubs which are free to attend.

Star Tots captures the imagination of 0-4 year olds with songs, stories and silly games, Star Landers offers immersive adventures for 5-10 year olds and Unleashed hosts boredom-busting activities for teens.

There’s also special evening events with Parkdean Resorts’ popular mascots the Starland Krew including Madness & Mayhem and Krew Chaos.

Get competitive

Burn off some energy trying out new sports as well as some favourites as part of the parks’ professionally designed programme All Together Active, delivered by accomplished instructors – there is something for all ages to join in and learn new skills, including parents.

Whether it’s hitting a bull’s eye in archery, ducking and diving during a game of dodgeball, making a winning move in a fencing duel, polishing up on football skills or being part of a team playing rounders and cricket, there are plenty of opportunities to get active.

For a spot of healthy competition between family members, take on the crazy golf course, race peddle karts or see who has the most luck in the amusement arcade.

If the kids still have energy left, there’s also outdoor adventure play areas and indoor soft play zones.

Go for a dip

Take the adventure underwater with a swim in indoor and outdoor pools. Whoosh down the waterslide, dodge the water chutes and ride the waves** – there are toddlers’ areas too so all ages can splash around.

Additional pool activities include kayaking, water walkers and zorbing. Some parks also have wet play areas complete with water cannons, fountains and jets.

See stars

Big name acts are on the bill at selected parks across the UK this summer including TV, dance and music talent.

The all-star line-up which families can see at no extra cost features reality star and 2018 Dancing on Ice winner Jake Quickenden, and children’s puppets Sooty & Co.

Also on the bill at the parks’ showbars are music and show productions performed by the talented Parkdean Resorts Troupers. This summer’s performances include Class of Noughties singalong, Pulse futuristic illusion show and Soulstation soul music playlist.
