Welcome Nicola Rogers, Visitor Travel Project Manager!

Visit Isle of Wight is pleased to welcome Nicola Rogers as our Visitor Travel Project Manager.

Nicola has recently moved to the Island and brings a wealth of experience and a genuine passion with her for the job.

Working with Isle of Wight Council and the Department of Transport, Nicola will be teaming up with Nina Murphy to deliver a raft of projects to increase the usage of sustainable travel here on the Isle of Wight.

South coast born Nicola moved here to be with her partner, who has also started a new job on the Island:

“I really like how unique the Island is. There are a lot of independent businesses and quirky retailers and it’s different the mainland, and I like that difference. And of course it is by the sea and the views are amazing.”

A background in leisure management means that Nicola is already passionate about the subject of sustainable.

Nicola says:

“Already there is a really great feel to the team, there’s a lot of projects going in and a little of really interesting stuff with many different organisations. It’s early days and there is a lot to take in, but it’s looking really good.”

Nicola continues:

“Although I am new to the Island, I’ve go that passion for tourism and leisure and I want to find out about the quirky places to go. There are some many amazingly beautiful walks and cycle trails that we can make use of.”

Nicola is keen to be working with the many partners Visit Isle of Wight has developed and particularly wants to hear from businesses who promote the sustainable travel aspect of a holiday that attract visitors to Island from the mainland and further afield.
