Council welcome applications for short breaks funding for young people with additional needs

The Isle of Wight Council is encouraging applications from businesses who can offer activities to children or young people with additional needs.

Applications for up to £20 000 are being encouraged by sports, leisure, recreation and childcare organisations and services to provide an active opportunity for children or young people with disabilities and/or additional needs. The activities or events can be a single event or a series of sessions.

It’s important to note that these activities should not conflict with education – for example, running during schools term-time hours.

Providers in the past have included JR Zone and Bodster Equine Assisted Learning Centre.

If you’re interested in an opportunity to make a difference – and can make use of your facilities, take a look at the links below!
