Business Improvement District (BID) Operations Manager
Based at The Guildhall, Newport, Isle of Wight (UK)

Visit Isle of Wight is the Island’s Destination Management Organisation, responsible for delivery of the WightBID proposals, and delivering central destination marketing and management for the UK’s Holiday Island, The Isle of Wight.

The successful candidate will be a senior member of our small team, working closely with the Chief Executive to maximise the benefits of the BID for as many levy payers as possible.

They will be the main point of contact for levy paying businesses, reporting to the chair of the BID Board.

The post holder will also lead the Destination Management Organisation’s business development initiatives looking to improve visitor travel to and from the Island, and assisting the tourism industry to develop new skills and experiences to meet the demands of the modern tourism market.

Applicants should have a successful track record of managing business programmes, have had experience of working with both private and public sectors and have a good knowledge of budgeting and financial management. In particular, applicants need to demonstrate confidence in both spoken and written communication across all media, as well as be a skilled public speaker.

Ideally a full-time role on circa £35,000, Visit Isle of Wight is prepared to consider part-time or self-employed arrangements for the right candidate.
