VIOW PRESS UPDATE – OCTOBER 2016
An ever increasing interest from journalists and strong media coverage continues to keep the Island front of mind with consumers. We are particularly pleased with the coverage that the re-launched Isle of Fright Ghost Trail app – and the wider Isle of Light Autumn offer – has received in several national press round-ups. In terms of high-quality media coverage, it doesn’t get much better than the global media company Forbes who last month published an on-line article about the Isle of Wight, entitled “An Island Tour that Honours Winston Churchill”. Forbes.com receives 52.7m monthly unique visits, and who is the number one most shared publisher on Linkedin. And It doesn’t end there as today we have a journalist from the Independent on Sunday following the Churchill Trail around the Island. With luck, the Indy will run the walk at the end of this week.

Romantic Spring Breaks on the Isle of Wight
In the next few weeks, we will be running a campaign to encourage people to take an Romantic Spring break and as part of this process, are producing a toolkit for use by the industry and the travmedia. This will include copy and listings, banners and photograhs which you will be able to cut and paste into your own e-mails and websites. If you are planning to run an event that fits with this thematic, please e-mail full details to sue@visitwight.org
