2016 Beautiful South Awards – FREE Entry for First 15 Businesses

We’ve got some fantastic businesses that deserve recognition and the profile of the Isle of Wight will benefit as a whole if we can show we can compete with the best, so let’s ensure we fly the flag for Isle of Wight tourism businesses in the regional and national awards.

Entry is free to Tourism South East members (and for the pub category Great Country Pub members) and there is a fee for non-members; details are at the end of each entry form and on the website.

However, to encourage you to enter, VIOW will cover the cost of the entry fee for the first 15 businesses to enter the Beautiful South Awards which are the route through to the national awards.  More information about the Beautiful South Awards, hints and tips on how to enter and entry forms can be found at www.beautifulsouthawards.co.uk

This year is a little different than in the past and in line with the VisitEngland awards, some of the categories have changed. The new categories include: Glamping, Restaurant/Bistro, Café/Tearoom and Dog Friendly business; small hotel has changed to Boutique/Small Hotel; there are two self-catering awards, one for just a single property and the other for more than two at the same location; Unsung hero has changed to Customer Service Superstar and is open for nominations for individuals from staff or the general public. For more details of all criteria see http://www.beautifulsouthawards.co.uk/page/7/which-categories.htm

Tourism South East have also revised all the entry forms so they should be simpler and quicker to complete. You can download them here http://www.beautifulsouthawards.co.uk/page/12/entry-forms.htm

The closing date for the awards is 5pm on Monday 27th June  for all categories except Customer Service Superstar and Tourism Event which close on 31 August.  You can find out more here http://www.beautifulsouthawards.co.uk

The Awards will culminate in a ceremony taking place at the HIlton at the Ageas Bowl on 24th November 2016.
