FREE Opportunity to feature in Mainland Shopping Centre Roadshows

Would you like your offers, promotions and attraction information handing out to shoppers in thirteen towns and cities across the South, for free? If so read on.

Promotion: to attract “on foot” day trippers from the mainland. (Background: Whilst overnight stays to the Island have been increasing in recent years, day trips remain flat and at certain times of the year are in decline).

  1. To have a “in a day” taster session of the Isle of Wight
  2. To follow suggested itineraries that demonstrate how easy it is to get around the Island without a car

Location: 13 Mainland shopping centres between February and April 2016 (located in large urban areas with rail stations that feed through to Solent gateways)

Opportunity: To have your literature, promotional material and introductory offers distributed by hand to families and couples in the shopping centres of Southampton, Guildford, Basingstoke, Portsmouth, Chichester, Bournemouth and other towns.

We will have an interactive exhibition stand and will be handing out bespoke attractive brochures with a series of car-free, day-trip itineraries and things to do on the Isle of Wight using public transport.  In addition the brochures will be distributed at our programme of core UK tourism exhibitions which run throughout the year.  We are looking to attract people to day trip on the island via some great special offers and this is where you come in .

We will be promoting all participating attractions and activities at the pop-up exhibitions handing out your leaflets along with the brochure.  The brochures and supporting materials which feature a special scratch panel for free ferry tickets will be pointing people to the special DAY TRIP area of our website currently under construction.  This will feature all your contact details and details of your special offer and people will then contact you directly to buy your offer.  These offers will be prominently promoted via this campaign and only those participating will appear.

TIP: If you’re thinking of providing an introductory offer for the promotion, our advice is make your offer as appealing as possible to act as a genuine incentive. Think about how you respond to offers yourself and image other people would regard your offer. If your offer is weak you will only attract the people who were planning to come anyway, but if your offer is strong you can increase your traffic by pulling new visitors to you.
