The Guildhall Museum will be open from Friday 6th November until (and including) the 10th November (Excluding Sunday) for a Winston Churchill Exhibition. The museum will be open 10am till 3pm each day and gives visitors a chance to learn about the importance the Isle of Wight had on Winston Churchill. It will be free to enter.

The Museum of Island History had been closed and Visit Isle of Wight are delighted in making the museum open for a short time to the Island. The opening is to celebrate the brand new book ‘Winston’s Island’ written by Isle of Wight resident and member of the Churchill family, Anthony Churchill, throws light on the long-standing relationship of Winston Churchill and his clan with the Island.

A book signing will be held on Tuesday 10th November between 12 – 3pm with Anthony and copies of the book will be available for purchase at the Visit Isle of Wight Visitor Information Centre.

It would be great if you could help spread the word that this exhibition will be open. Please click here to view the Winston Churchill blog that we have added to our consumer website (
